We have strengthened this team through the addition of offshore engineering expertise and the dedication of senior staff to offshore work, which provides us with unrivalled experience to meet the challenges presented by the development of this powerful, abundant natural resource.
RES is investigating the potential for commercial offshore wind farms in a number of European markets. Currently, RES is working on three sites off Lincolnshire, in collaboration with the projects' owner, Centrica Renewables.
RES are currently looking for a Project Engineer to join the Offshore team. The role will require the right candidate to be the main point of contact for RES clients, specialising in offshore wind farm cable systems (both subsea and land cables).
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work with other parts of the project team to ensure clarity and efficiency of interfaces, for example:
- Site surveying
- Cable to structure interface
- Electrical system design requirements
- Substation to cable interface
The Candidate
Candidates should hold a relevant Degree qualification or equivalent in an Engineering discipline. Candidates should have knowledge of relevant Offshore cable experience. Working knowledge of relevant cable design and installation practices, codes & standards. It is essential that the candidate be safety and efficiency orientated, with proven capability of making confident and reasoned decisions. To maximise flexibility in this role it would also be advantageous, although not essential, that the candidate would be capable of offshore working.
