Supply Chain Manager

The Role

The Supply Chain Manager is part of a new engineering team being recruited to expand the RES Heat and Power capability for the delivery of power generation schemes, industrial steam plant and CHP projects, fuelled by biomass. The primary team role is to position RES Heat and Power as an intelligent purchaser of outsourced detail engineering, procurement and construction services.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Managing the fuel supply chain from producer to customer and manage outsourced service providers to deliver customer heat and power supply contracts. Ensuring safe, reliable delivery to meet or exceed customer expectations.

  • Identify possible suppliers of out-sourced on-site services.
  • Develop, negotiate and manage fuel supply and outsourced on-site service contracts
  • Negotiate and manage supplier Service Level Agreements  (SLAs) to ensure compliance with customer contract requirements
  • Manage and develop supply chain relationships

The Candidate

Candidates should have a proven background in commercial supply contract management, in a customer facing environment and ideally hold a CIPS qualification. Candidates will also be able to demonstrate their abilities at improving supplier capabilities and managing SLA agreements. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be prepared to travel within the UK and, if necessary, overseas and hold a UK driving license
