Proposed Cambusmore Estate Wind Farm

In October 2003 Renewable Energy Systems (RES) applied for full planning permission to Highland Council to construct a wind farm comprising 33 wind turbines on land at Cambusmore Estate in Sutherland approximately 14km North West of Dornoch and approximately 7km North East of Bonar Bridge.

The turbines proposed would have a tubular tower and be three bladed with an overall height to blade tip not exceeding 91m with a nominal rated output of 1500kW (1.5MW) each. The proposed development will also have associated electricity transformers, access tracks and site entrance, substation compound and control building and two wind monitoring masts.

This wind farm application was submitted with a full Environmental Statement (ES).

This NTS was produced at the time of the original planning application, and some details may have since changed
