Dunmaglass Wind Farm

The proposed Dunmaglass Wind Farm is located approximately 20km south of Inverness and 6km east of Loch Mhor, within Highland Council’s area. Prior to making a planning application to the Scottish Government a series of local public exhibitions were held (March 2004) with respect to the proposal.

Following receiving responses from statutory, and non-statutory consultees as well as the three main communities in the area RES set about amending the proposals to reflect these responses.  This work resulted in the submission of a Supplementary Environmental Information Document or SEI, in April 2008, detailing where any changes have been made as well as any further information in support of the application.  The layout was revised from 36 to 33 turbines with the maximum turbine height being increased from 110m to 125m to blade tip.  The turbines being considered for the project vary from 2.3 -3 MW resulting in a maximum total output of 99MW.

The Non Technical Summary of the proposal is available to view or download below.
