Ora More Planning Ref L/2005/3070 validated January 2006
RES UK & Ireland is proposing to develop a new wind farm in Ora More, Belcoo, County Fermanagh. The wind farm will consist of up to 9 turbines and will generate enough renewable electricity to meet the needs of an estimated 11,500 households every year.

RES submitted Further Environmental Information on Ora More Wind Farm to the Planning Service in January 2008, including a reduction in the number of wind turbines from 13 to 9.

Public Information Programme

The public information programme for Ora More began in August 2005. We sent out over 200 information packs to community groups, schools, churches, businesses, organisations and political representatives. We left information with the 36 houses closest to the site (Holywell, Caranmore, Mullyard, Carrickadranton, Boho, Gardenhill and Mullylusty Roads) and managed to speak to 24 householders in person. We spoke to local councillors and held a public exhibition in Belcoo, which was attended by 35 local residents.
